I spent six years as an odds compiler at William Hill's London office, pricing markets for football, tennis and horse racing. That role gave me a granular understanding of how bookmakers build their margins and where the genuine value for bettors lies.
Between 2015 and 2019, I moved to Unibet Group as Content Director for Affiliate Operations, overseeing market reviews across Scandinavia, the UK and Central Europe. I saw first-hand how review sites can be shaped by commercial pressure — and decided there was room for something more rigorous.
In 2022, I founded GambleCode with a single principle: every rating we publish must reflect an independent audit of the product, not the size of the affiliate deal. We update scores quarterly, publish our methodology openly, and we never accept payment to alter or suppress a review.

Our Review Methodology
Every bookmaker listed on GambleCode is audited against eight criteria. Each criterion is scored independently on a 10-point scale; the composite score is then normalised to a 5-star rating displayed on each review page.
We verify the operator's licence with the relevant authority. Unlicensed operators are not listed.
We compare average overrounds across football, tennis and basketball against at least three competitors in the same market.
Headline welcome offers are evaluated against wagering requirements, time limits and eligible markets.
We test deposit and withdrawal processing times using local payment methods in each market.
App stability, navigation and live-betting performance are rated on Android and iOS.
We contact support via live chat and email to assess response times and resolution quality.
We check for self-exclusion tools, deposit limits, reality checks and links to national support organisations.
We count available pre-match and in-play markets for the top three sports in each country.
Commercial Transparency
GambleCode generates revenue through affiliate commissions. When a user registers with a bookmaker through one of our tracked links, we may receive a one-time payment or a percentage of the operator's net revenue from that user.
This never influences our editorial scores. Affiliate links are clearly labelled and carry
the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute. Our ranking order reflects our
independent audit results, not commission rates.
